Gelous Gelous Gel Nail Polish is applied in thin coats over prepped nails and cured under the Gelous Gel Nail Lamp for long-lasting results.

Prep your nails by pushing back cuticles, shaping, buffing until dull, and wiping each nail with a Lint Free Wipe soaked in Gel Nail Polish Remover to remove oils. Apply pH Bond or Nail Primer if using, then apply Base Coat, optional Builder Gel, 2–3 thin layers of Colour Coat, and Top Coat—curing each layer for 60 seconds. Gelous Gel Nail Polish can be safely removed by soaking off or e-filing. To soak off, buff the Top Coat to remove the shine, cover each nail with a Lint Free Wipe soaked in Gel Nail Polish Remover and clip in place with Nail Polish Removal Clips. Leave for 15 minutes, then gently push off the softened gel with a Removal Tool or Orangewood Cuticle Sticks.

For a faster removal of Gel Nail Polish, use the E-File Pen. Pair it with a 240 Grit Sanding Drill Bit for natural nails or stronger bits such as the Typhoon or Barrel Ball Drill Bits for manicures that include Builder Gel.

When exposed to the 365+405nm wavelengths emitted by the Gelous Gel Nail Lamp, the liquid gel transforms into a hard, long-lasting coating with a high-shine finish. The Gelous Gel Nail Lamp uses 30 dual-wave LEDs lasting up to 50,000 hours, curing faster and more safely than traditional UV bulbs. To make your Gelous gel manicure last longer, focus on prep, technique, and aftercare. Here's what makes the biggest difference:

• Buff nails until dull, push back cuticles, and wipe away all dust and oils before starting—proper prep makes the biggest difference to wear time.
• Always use the complete Gelous system—Base Coat, Colour Coat, Top Coat, and Gel Nail Lamp together. Mixing brands can cause under-curing and lifting.
• Apply Gel Polish in thin, even coats and cap each layer across the free edge.
• For weak or flexible nails, use Rubber Base Coat or Builder Gel for added adhesion and durability.
• If your first few manicures don't last as long as expected, don't be discouraged—technique improves with practice.

We recommend using the complete Gelous system for the best results. Gelous Gel Nail Polish is formulated to cure at 365+405nm dual-wavelength technology—the same wavelengths emitted by the Gelous UV/LED Gel Nail Lamp—ensuring even, thorough curing every time. While 365+405nm is a commonly used specification, mixing gel polishes and lamps from different brands is not recommended, as mismatched products can cause incomplete curing, reduced wear, or potential nail damage.

Skipping steps such as Base Coat or Top Coat can also lead to lifting, chipping, or incomplete curing. For consistent, safe results, use Gelous Base Coat, Colour Coat, Top Coat, and Gel Nail Lamp together as a complete system.
